For the past two weeks I have had a fair few services where the Wifi just hasn't been working (as in it's not even present despite the stickers).
Is there a reason for this?
Hi, we are currently upgrading the onboard Wi-Fi on our class 444 and 450 trains, during this time some trains may enter service without Wi-Fi. The project is expected to last until mid-April. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I have used some of the newly upgraded Wifi, and connection seems better (along with speed.
I note that when you get a train with the "movies" wifi, just getting online has been made really obscure. The implication is you have to go to the movie service only.
Second think, why is SWR obsessed with collecting e-mail addresses? Most of us just put rubbish in there anyway. If it was collected once per device it might make sense, but we have to put it in on every train, every day. The data can't be of any use at all.
