Yet again more cancellations on the Hounslow loop yesterday 'due to shortage of train crew'. The blame for this lies squarely with SWR. Why don't you have more standby crews ? SWT managed to run a full service so why can't you?
Not a good start to the week. 1922 Addlestone service cancelled Monday evening and yet more cancellations on the Hounslow loop this morning due to 'shortage of staff' and 'defective trains'. Are you reading this Mr Shapps ?
Today the entire Romsey Shuttle service was cancelled due to a member of train crew going sick.
OK, such things happen and the whole situation is made worse by the earth slip between Dean and Salisbury. But no service all day?? Train crew sign on throughout the day, wasn't it possible to recover the service?
By the way, freight trains were running between Romsey and Salisbury so it would have been possible to trip an ECS from Salisbury to Romsey.
The staff at Eastleigh had been given no information about the rail replacement road service apart from what they had found on public web sites.... I travelled between Romsey and Eastleigh on scheduled bus services, and didn't see a single rail replacement bus.
No service, Poor communications, woeful decision making
Appears to be all cancelled tomorrow as well
On Saturday the trains service ran according to Real Time Trains and personal observation, but there were rail replacement buses running from Eastleigh.
Can I be very, very puzzled at what decision making is happening within SWR?
This week the Romsey shuttles ran a reduced service and posters were displayed at Romsey and Dean. Great!
It was GWR's turn to sulk and run nothing east of Salisbury, although two units were sat at Fratton on Tuesday....
