Why were peak morning trains between Fleet & Clapham junction stopped?

I have recently started travelling into London for work and have found that the direct trains from Fleet to Clapham junction stop running at 6.40am. I've mostly driven to work since I started living in the area but I believe this service used to run all morning.

This cuts Fleet (and any other towns on the line) which is a popular commuter town off from huge parts of London. I wouldn't mind if there was the option to change at Woking but you can't even do that, the only option is to get the 6.40 train which often isn't practical.

I would just like to understand what the logic behind this is and if there's any chance it will be looked at when the timetables are changed.

Thanks
