As I raised in general discussion group when will the promised flexible season tickets be introduced as promised and at what discount? The long standing discrimination against part time commuters is untenable, particularly because most part time commuters are female. With flexible working though flexible season tickets are needed by all. SWR You wrote to me and promised action, months ago, where is this action, delays can’t be blamed on lack of smart card technology.
Hi Marina, Flexible season tickets is something we are committed to introducing, the last update I had was that this was to go live before the end of 2018.
On 2 other related threads you said it would be December 2019. Here you say before the end of 2018. Which is it? I work 3 days a week. My current annual ticket which this year cost me £5,800 and next year is going over £6,000 runs out at the end of May. Do I get another annual ticket or do I start buying daily tickets on the off chance the flexible ticket will be introduced a few months later?
He Anna, flexible season tickets are pencilled in to be trialled in 2018, for a 2019 general release, the full timeline has not yet been finalised. I'm sorry I genuinely can't advise what your best options are for remaining your season ticket, have a chat to our ticketing team on 0345 6000 650 who will be able to explain all options.
Hi David. What is the update on this? Is the trail live? How do I get involved?
Hi Richard, we have recently launched "Carnet" tickets which you may find useful if you travel regularly but not enough to warrant buying a season ticket.
Hi Matt, Hope you are well. Am I right to assume the answer to "Is this the best you are going to be doing" is Yes?
Apologies for missing your message. At present I am not aware of any planned changes to the discount applied to Carnet tickets, but I have passed on your correspondence to our ticketing to review.
