Raynes park station - how can I clarify the opening timings for Raynes Park station counter to buy weekly passes? I have tried to ask the staff at the station but not getting accurate answers. They sometimes are open at 6:30 am but mostly closed. This impact me as I need to travel to Marleybone every Monday by paying extra and then have to get my weekly pass fromMarkeybone as Raynes park is mostly shut
Also today I was rushing to get my train and my ticket stopped working for some reason. I tried locating the staff member but of course he was busy chatting outside the station premises.. needless to say I missed my train :)
Hi, I'm sorry to hear of the problems that you are having at Raynes Park. The ticket office should be open Monday to Friday 06.20 - 20.00, Saturday 07.00 - 20.00 and Sunday 09.00 - 18.30. There may be a staffing issue and I will seek further information from the station management team.
You can purchase weekly passes from the automated ticket machines at the stations, which would resolve the issue with having to travel to Marylebone and purchase there.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Appreciate it. Unfortunately I can't purchase the pass through the machine or online as mine is a weekly pass that covers london zone 1-6 and Denham (Chiltern Railway). So I have to charge it physically through one of your staff members..
Yes, it would be great if you can look into the issues at the station.
Hi Sweena, have you tried contacting our customer service centre on 0345 6000 650? It might be possible to purchase over the phone or possibly online.
Hi Danny, Yes I have done that in the past as I have been traveeling for 2 years to Denham now. I have been told it can only be done at the station unfortunately
Ah, ok. When I get a response regarding Raynes Park I will let you know. Just a thought - are you able to use Wimbledon instead? The ticket office there is more likely to be staffed as it is a flagship station. I understand that this might not be an ideal situation, and may possibly involve an extra bus journey (depending on where in Raynes Park you are).
i know you are trying to help and apologies in advance if this comes across as rude. But how is it sensible that if my local station ticket office should open at 6:20 am that I leave that and travel to another station just to but my ticket?
two things here - I will be leaving home another 25 minutes earlier if I have to buy the ticket from Wimbledon. And this is without traffic so I am expected to leave at 6;00 am
Two - I will still be paying my bus fare from Raynes park to Wimbledon. Which Kay not be a big amount but the question is why should i pay extra?
apologies but this is not at all a solution to my problem..
