Morning. Another new train service on the Kingston loop. Love the trains but the on board temperature is consistently above 25 degrees. Every one travelling is in a shirt only and is fanning themselves. It is the same every day. Are the thermostats working?
I am unaware of any issues with the climate control equipment on these trains, I am aware we have been experiencing humid conditions so AC may have been struggling. However, to be able to investigate individual complaints I would at least need to know which train you are in and ideally the carriage number.
If you experience these conditions again and would like us to investigate, please provide the train you are on and if possible, the carriage number.
We will then request for Fleet to look into this immediately for you.
Hi it's every new train on the Kingston loop. Specifically carriage 1 on the 0638 from Strawberry Hill this morning
Thank you for clarifying that, in that case I will pass this on to our fleet team immediately.
Hi. Did this ever get passed on/actioned? The train service is miserable and hot. Maybe SWR should consider handing our free bottles of water during the hot weather? I challenge one of your managers to do the route in the heat and still maintain that the service is adequate.
Travelled today Kingston to Clapham junction, on a stifling train. Hard to understand as the outward journey was fantastic with perfect air conditioning. So why the discrepancy? Don't the customers deserve any respect from the train company?
