Just two working days to go until a week with 3 strike days and SWR still haven't published a timetable. Nor does the SWR Journey Planner give any indication of potential service alterations.
The signs at Waterloo and SWR website say go to the webpage for "More Information" yet there isn't any, except a pretty map which tells you not much and usless FAQ's which unhelpfully advise "Our London stations may have queuing systems in place during the evening celebrations. London Waterloo will be particularly busy."
Some of us would like to plan ahead and it doesn't seem unreasonable to publish a timetable a few working days in advance. SWR have know about the strikes for several weeks, it has hardly come as surprise.
SWR tweeted a link earlier to the National Rail site, apparently the amended times have been added there. I think given the length of time we have known about the strike, the fact that the timetables have still not been published on the SWR site so close to the date of the first strike is highly disappointing. It looks like the first 2 fast trains from Guildford to Waterloo in the morning have been scrapped. 3 mornings of commuting bliss loom.
Hi J, I can confirm that the strike timetables are available via the plan your journey on the national rail website.
Please accept my apologies.
The PDF timetables for most routes are now uploaded on the website. www.southwesternrailway.com/.../rmt-strike
The online journey planners should give updated journeys.
