Are there plans for more frequent trains to/from Crowthorne or existing trains to stop there more? As we are aware there is a huge amount of new homes going into the village (1000+) so we will need a more frequent service.
At present it's better to drive to Wokingham or Bracknell as there is more frequency but this puts more cars on the roads and seems to be senseless when we have a local station that many can walk to. I'm about to change my London commute to go via Reading and the lack of trains for Crowthorne means it's not really a viable option because I'd have to hang around too much to get home in the evening.
The services from Crowthorne are operated by Great Western Railway (www.gwr.com) and I would recommend you to contact them directly to discuss their plans.
Thank you again for contacting South Western Railway.
