Just a quick question regarding whether a TOC has to pay for your onward travel (ie taxi) if you miss a connection because it's their fault. Scenario:You get the last train which should get you home, with one change. The first train is delayed, so you miss your connection and can't get home that night. The next train is in something like 6-8 hours. Now, assuming this is the fault of the train operating company, do they have to provide for you to get home that night? And is there a minimum delay required before they have to do something about it?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Although there is no clause as such, a ban on train companies from paying for onward travel by taxi etc has recently been lifted. So you can certainly claim for the expenses of a taxi/hotel etc, but getting TOCs to reclaim it may be very difficult.
