I have read on the SWR website that a 5% discount can be offered 'for some journeys' when renewing a season ticket. Does this apply to Fleet - Clapham Junction? Must I use a smartcard or can it be a paper ticket?
I have to renew my ticket soon so confirmation soon would be appreciated.
I believe it does yes, but the team at Fleet would be able to double check their systems to confirm that for you. It can be on a Smartcard or a paper ticket.
Hi - I renewed Farnborough to London Waterloo + zones on my smartcard. Customer services on the phone told me the 5% discount for monthly season re ewals is no longer available. If this is not the case can someone please clarify?
As far as I am aware this is currently available on most routes, however I don't have access to the systems they use so cannot 100% confirm. Ticket Office staff will be able to give you a definitive answer to this
Hi Rich thanks for getting back. I bought this online on my smart card one day before the momthly was due to expire. Currently there is no 'renewal' option, just a 'buy now'. The effect of this is that the system loads the new ticket on top of the old. No 5% discount is added as this is a new purchase according to the online system.
Surely this option should be available online as it would appear the only way to receive a 5% discount is to queue up at a ticket office ...
