just had my first response from dail repay suprise suprise rejected.
Your planned route (scheduled times): Departing 1800 from London Waterloo to Godalming arriving 1840. Route we think you took (actual times): Departed 1818 from London Waterloo to Godalming arrived 1856.
clearly a delay of 16 minutes there !
explain how its not valid !!!
Hi Jonathan, I'm afraid I do not have access to the Delay Repay system so can't offer any explanation for this. Your query should be directed to DRenquiries@swrailway.com as advised in the rejection email.
ive emailed that , ill wait 20 days for a reply if at all.
the whole system seems a bloody shambles.
no fear though , small claims court is always an option
I’ve had two compensation claims rejected so far, both for incorrect reasons - my train wasn’t 30 minutes late (which it was) and then I attached the wrong ticket to the claim (which I didn’t). The rejection comes from a noreply email address. My experience is that they’ll try any excuse to avoid paying the compensation. When you arrive at a station and it is chaos, delayed and cancelled across all the boards you just try and squeeze on a train to then have this quibbling is an insult.
time to keep the pressure on , probably expecting us to go away
Call me a skeptic but i think this is all just a song and dance to avoid paying valid claims.
I have had another rejection this time saying I havent provided the correct details (which I have)
I have had no response from this email, granted being told I have to wait 15 days, by the time that expires im sure ill be told i cant claim as its outside the 30 day period.
Can you confirm if these claims are actually being dealt with by someone ? it seems from the emails they are automated and if thats the case would explain the rejections, but wouldnt explain why we have to wait 10 + days.
